Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 29, 2026
PlayCore Labs ("we," "us," or "our") operates this website, the browser-based games available on it, and our games published on the Apple App Store, including Don't Get Zapped, Ottogator Catch, and Dice Racer: Grand Prix. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit our site or play our games, how we use it, and the choices you have.
You do not need to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal details to play our games.
Information We Collect
When you play our games (or use this website), we may automatically collect a limited amount of anonymous technical and usage information, including:
- A per-install identifier — a random, anonymous ID generated on your device the first time you play. It is not your name, email, phone number, or Apple ID, and it is not the device advertising identifier (IDFA). It simply lets us count installs and understand repeat play without identifying you.
- Usage data — basic gameplay and interaction events, such as starting a game, completing or failing a level, and opening settings, along with session information.
- Diagnostic data — basic error information that helps us find and fix bugs.
- Device and browser information (website and browser games) — such as device type, operating system, and screen size.
We do not collect personal information such as your name, phone number, precise location, or payment details. We collect an email address only when you choose to provide one — for example, by emailing us directly, or by typing one into the optional "Email for a reply" field on one of our feedback forms.
Saved on your device, not sent to us
Our games save your progress, high scores, unlocked content, and settings on the device you play on — in your browser's local storage for the browser games, or in the app's own storage for our App Store apps. This information stays on your device. We cannot read it, it is not sent to us or to anyone else, and it is not part of the analytics described below. Clearing your browser's site data, or deleting the app, deletes it permanently — there is no cloud backup and no way for us to restore it.
Analytics & Your Choice
Our games include lightweight, anonymous usage analytics that help us understand how people play and improve the games. Analytics is on by default, and you can turn it off at any time from the in-game Settings screen. When you turn it off, the game stops collecting and sending analytics events.
The analytics data we collect (the anonymous per-install identifier, gameplay/usage events, and diagnostic information described above) is:
- Anonymous and not linked to your identity — we do not associate it with your name, email, account, or any real-world identity.
- Not used to track you — we do not use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites, we do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA), and there is no App Tracking Transparency prompt because we do not track.
- Not sold or shared — we do not sell it or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Analytics events from every PlayCore Labs game and from this website are sent only to our own backend. Our games and pages contain no third-party advertising or analytics SDKs — no Google Analytics, no Firebase, no ad networks, no session recording.
Feedback Submissions
If you choose to send us feedback through the feedback form, we may receive:
- the topic you selected (the specific game or "General Feedback");
- the written feedback message you submitted;
- an email address, only if you chose to enter one in the optional reply field;
- your selection on the optional "Email me about updates" checkbox;
- technical metadata about the submission (the time it was submitted and basic request information such as the page you submitted from and your browser's user-agent string), used to operate the form and prevent abuse.
We use this information to:
- review your feedback and improve our games;
- respond to you about your feedback, but only if you provided an email address;
- send you product or update communications only if you separately checked the optional "Email me about updates" box.
Providing an email address for a reply does not, by itself, sign you up for any future communications. You must check the separate "Email me about updates" checkbox to indicate that consent.
We do not currently operate a formal mailing-list management system. If you opt in to updates, we may contact you from time to time about Ottogator Catch updates and future PlayCore Labs releases. You can ask us to stop sending these communications at any time by emailing contact@playcorelabs.com, and we will honor that request.
When you submit the feedback form, the submission is sent to us through a third-party form-handling service (see "Service Providers" below), which relays the contents to our company mailbox at contact@playcorelabs.com. The information you typed into the form is passed through to us; we then store the feedback email in our mailbox.
Third-Party Services
We use no third-party analytics or advertising services anywhere — not in our App Store games, not in our browser games, and not on this website. There is no Google Analytics, no Firebase, no advertising SDK and no session-recording tool in anything we ship. The analytics described above go to our own backend and nowhere else.
Loading a page on this site contacts no third party. Every font, stylesheet, script and image a page needs to render is served from playcorelabs.com itself. We previously loaded our two typefaces from Google Fonts, which meant your IP address reached Google simply because you opened a page; we now host those font files ourselves, so that no longer happens.
Two services we operate with do receive data, and both are described below in "Service Providers":
- Vercel hosts the backend our analytics events are sent to. It is our infrastructure provider, processing our data on our behalf — not an analytics company, and it does not receive data for its own purposes.
- Web3Forms relays our feedback and email sign-up forms. It receives what you type, and only when you actually submit a form — never merely from visiting a page.
Service Providers
The backend that receives our analytics events is hosted on Vercel. Vercel operates the servers on our behalf and, like any hosting provider, necessarily handles the requests our games and pages send there. It does not use that data for its own purposes and it is not an analytics service. You can review Vercel's privacy practices on the Vercel Privacy Policy page.
Feedback submissions on our feedback page are handled by Web3Forms, a third-party form-relay service. The form posts your submission directly from your browser to Web3Forms, which then forwards the contents to our company mailbox at contact@playcorelabs.com. The data passed to Web3Forms is what you typed into the form (topic, message, optional email, optional updates choice) plus basic technical metadata (the page URL you submitted from and your browser's user-agent string) used to operate the form and prevent abuse.
Any email sign-up forms on our site (for example, a "notify me at launch" or "one email when new games land" field) use the same Web3Forms relay: the address you enter is forwarded to our company mailbox and is not stored in any database we operate. We use it solely to send the communication the form describes, and you can unsubscribe at any time by emailing contact@playcorelabs.com.
You can review Web3Forms's privacy practices on the Web3Forms Privacy Policy page.
Data Retention
Analytics data is retained only for as long as it is useful for the purposes described above. Because the data sits in our own backend rather than a third-party analytics product, the retention decision is ours alone. Aggregated or anonymized data may be retained for longer periods to track trends over time.
Feedback submissions, including the optional reply email and your optional "Email me about updates" choice, are retained as reasonably necessary to review feedback, respond where you requested a reply, and honor your stated communication preference. You may ask us to delete feedback you have sent us, or to remove you from update communications, by emailing contact@playcorelabs.com.
Children's Privacy
Our games are intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
If you are under 13, please do not submit personal information through our feedback form. Ask a parent or guardian to contact us at contact@playcorelabs.com instead.
If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be reflected on the site, and we encourage you to review this page periodically.
